GRRRRRR!

Got home last nightand discovered one circuit in my house stopped working last ngith. I've had trouble with this particular circuit and replaced the breaker two years ago.

Half my house has no lights, but the circuit for TV, computer and half of bedroom and living room are okay. Kitchen lights, but not the stove, or plugs for coffee and bathroom lights are out. the bathroom lights are really really inconvenient since there's no window.

Then I went outside and saw the hot water heater finally gave up and the patio was wet in front of the shed. Now the heater is at least 15 years old so it's lived its' time.

so this morning the plumber is replacing the heater and fixing something else that needs doing anyway.

all the news about anthrax cases doesn't help any although I did get to see Scott Bakula in a grey sweater and black leather jacket on Revis this morning.
and the weather is good so I guess it isn't a total loss today.

when the plumber leaves, I'm cleaning the hell out of this house since I'm her today.

What rotten luck! I hope you're day gets SO much better!

(I guess that's what savings accounts are for. Bleck!)

The new water heater is in. One advantage is I had a chnce to clean some general gunk out of the shed before he went and got the new water heater. Threw out some stuff, boxes, etc. Swept the patio and furniture out there off, too.

He fixed the dripping faucet in the bathroom, too.

I got out the vacuum cleaner and am working on cleaning all the cobwebs and other things in corners out of the living room. I'm going to wash the mirrors and the windows, too. Then the kitchen floor and I don't know what else.... maybe nothing else today!

I was referred to an electrician who is coming tomorrow afternoon and we'll fnd out more then.

Well that sucks! And don't you notice how things like this allll seem to come at once and together? Niiiice - not!

I've had days just like that! They suck don't they?

But on the up side, I saw ol' Scotty this morning too. And he was on "The View" also, but they cut into that with the lastest scare on anthrax and then went back to the show and his interview was over. They had just asked him if he'd been to "Ground Zero" while he was there and he had, he had gone to some shelter there that was feeding and housing some of the workers ( many from out of state....) and he was almost in tears and was just starting to tell about his trip there when they cut in.

you talking about Wike? My favourite one? (I'm all ears! Well...maybe not ALL ears )

I'm sure she means Captain Scotty Bakula, heavens I can't remember his new captain name!

Nice looking man of course. He also speaks very softly and quietly and has a very gentle sounding voice when he speaks.

Hope things are working out better now. At least you'll have working appliances again...

I hate that - when it rains it pours - just when you think you're getting a bonus, something like this comes along to snatch it away! Oh, well...

But, hey, do you have any energy left - my house is a disaster!

That's the Scotty that I was talking about.
And Shamba was right, he does speak quietly, I loved listening to him talk.
I just wish I could've caught all his interview from "The View"......
