Pouring rain, which we need desperately (trees are dying of lack of water all over town), blocked streets, lights out at freeway overpasses! Yikes,
took me an hour to get to work. It usually only takes
20 minutes or so.

It's supposed to rain all day and I really hope it does but I hope going home is easier than getting to work was.

I remember being stuck in a snow storm on my way home from work for two hours one time (work was 30 minutes away). It was horrible. Thank goodness I had enough fuel!

We had similar problems here on Monday. Wild thunderstorm combined with windstorm swept through Sydney. Took Amphalia two hours just to get from work to where she had her car parked, when it normally takes 30 mins, and then she discovered her car had just been missed by a huge limb that had fallen from a nearby tree. Homes without electricity, major storm damage, and two lives lost. Bad one.
