Hi all! LOL, I wasn't even showing was I?

now, before you all freak out, the "new baby" is a darling little calico kitty! She was a stray that's been in the neighborhood a couple of months, no one has been able to locate her owners as hard as we've tried, no one else wanted her, and it's too cold to just let her live outdoors, so after taking her to vet and getting the all clear...we adopted her!

Her name is Sasha. It means moonbeam, and since the white markings on her face and neck look like a crescent moon, it fits her and she already responds to it! kids are delighted she has already climbed up in their laps and snuggled herself in and made herself right at home. Other kitties a little snippy at me this a.m., ("omg...*another* one?! sighes, fine.") but have accepted her fairly well, a few curious looks and soft hisses, but no fights or fur flying!

Sooo...I am a proud "mommy" to another one - lol, if ya count four legged "kids" that makes 8 now! More to love!

I gather you're getting anxious eh? grins, congrats, but enjoy being able to sleep while ya can, little tip if this is your first: when baby gets here, sleep when it does, never mind anything else that needs to be done, get what sleep ya can when ya can!

Thanks all for the good wishes on kitty! Well, I couldn't very wellleave her out in the cold...how could I say to to such a sweet lovey one as this? I didn't go looking for her, she found me...that first day she came running up to me, meowing, took all of 5 minutes before she was in my lap, trying to get warm and purring happily over the food! that was it...I fell in love!

adjusting well...had two out of three kitties on bed last night, third one still needsto get used to bigger family!
