My neighbor, yes the ones with the little boy who was under my vanity, called me today. Seems she found out in a rather unfortunate way that the lock on her bedroom door doesn't work anymore. She and her husband were in the process of ... well ... they were in an intimate process, when to their surprise, their small son (different son -- this one is 5) entered their room, climbed up on their bed, and threw up on them.

My watch stopped this week so new battery required. I have another watch that's stopped too so I proudly remembered to put them in my bag when we went shopping.

We got to the mall and Joe asked where I was having them fixed and i said oh that places where you get two fixed and the third one's free ....... Arghh !!! and this isn't even the Captain Retardo bit yet .......

I gave the 2 watches in and had to come back in twenty minutes (why do places advertise have while you wait and you have to come back?).

Almost forgot to go back but anyway, we returned and the young girl gives me one of those sheepish stuck on smiles and says "$8 please. We could only change the battery on ones of the watches." She leans forward on the counter and says slowly and politely, " This one is what we call a wind up watch. This is the winder and you wind it up every day." Sensing a certain person behind me, shaking and stifling a guffaw I resisted any temptation to retort.

I know Joe is not going to let me forget this one for some time and I suspect niether will you!!!!!!! :):):)
