But unless Creation's Vegas con is different from the EIGHT Creation Cons I've attended then Slanted Fedora is not being truthful because Creation's significantly less expensive gold pass DOES INCLUDE live autographs from the headliners.

At least it sure did in Sacramento (from the same people I might add)....

That's interesting. I thought they were pretty upfront about what they're saying. Certainly a pretty typical Creations thing (going on my own and others Creations experience) to do such a thing. Harks back to the 70s when they eventually put a stranglehold on any (at that time) other organisations running Cons.

Personally, I think we should stay out of it. Both have good and bad points, and they're both out for the same thing - profit from the fans.

I just think this is funny! I don't really care about either Con!

Lil, feel free to email your friend Adam. I'm sure he probably already knows about this. I wasn't remembering being charged for autographs myself, but then again, I didn't go to their "Grand Slam" either. The guy who put together the SF site thing did have this disclaimer before he mentioned any costs for Creation autographs, I will assume that they will be approximately the same costs as their extra tickets at Grand Slam (where they have most of the same guests as they are having in Vegas. I am basing these costs on the Grand Slam costs...subject to change.)

Oh, and I found this on their site, "INCLUDED IN YOUR TICKET PRICE is complimentary in-person autographs with ROBBIE McNEILL, ROXANN DAWSON, NANA VISITOR, MARINA SIRTIS, ARMIN SHIMERMAN, MAX GRODENCHIK, CHASE MASTERSON, ARON EISENBERG, and ENTERPRISE STARS ANTHONY MONTGOMERY, DOMINICK KEATING, JOHN BILLINGSLEY, and LINDA PARK. There will be autograph tickets available for the other stars at a later date." I guess the autographs for the big draw names will have to be paid for... That's a shame for the fans.

I'm glad I went to Sacramento where my gold pass included autographs for Shatner, Nimoy, Koenig, NIchols....

there's a lot of stuff to read in those comparison charts. That was probably smart of Fedora to put them on their site to show the differences.

It seems to me that the Creation cons that have Star Trek emphasis always had guests, either on stage or in the dealer's room, whose autographs were extra from the gold tickets. The Herc/Xena cons never seemed to have people in the dealer's room or on stage who charged for those with gold tickets.

I saw that Alexandra Tydings will be a guest of Slanted Fedora. That's at least something for the H:TLJ team! LOL

Having never been to a real Con, I'll leave you kiddies to fight this one out amongust yourselfs. But I do have a question for Lil, or Whisper.... who is Adam?
