And speaking of the Lawless one - we got to see both her X-File episodes here last night. And wouldn't ya know it? All I saw of it was the last minutes when she was on the ocean floor, LMAO!!!!! As you can see, I'm terribly cut up about that :D

Actually, I read that from quite a few, not just the "reprobates". Hate to admit it, but I kinda liked their posts better. Ya shoulda seen how mad they got when Lawless said "Cut the cord" and in other interviews and stuff...they kept saying she had 'foot in mouth disease', or something.

I read X-Files with Lawless in it didn't do too well when it aired. I think the problem was FOX aired it when ABC ran "Saving Private Ryan", and the audience didn't gel with the storyline. Duchovney had left, and the plot didn't make a lick of sense...Chris Carter had talked about it in a long interview on the zap2it website. The show never did pick up in the later episodes, and by X-mas, he axed it.

To be honest, I'm not surprised that the show ended. I think CC had lost a lot of the sizzle - and, well, originality, from the first years. I'm sure that's just a natural thing to happen though. But really, the second half of last season was just...ugh. So while I suppose I might watch or tape what's left to watch, I can't say it's with any enthusiasm.

I remember all those threads at the Nutforum. Used to lurk more than post towards the end. It was a shame. It's all only meant to be fun.

As for the Nutforum, I hear ya. It seemed to be nothing more than a virtual boxing ring (nah, make that alleycat ring) most of the time. I've never, ever understood why people can get so serious in fandom, y'know? It's not even real, and it's only ever meant to be fun for people. (And for the benefit of any lurkers - no, I don't want to get into any protracted "discussion" on this - thas my opinion and I'm entitled to it )

Eh, it's like that with all shows. Right now I've read die hard Star Trekkers saying Rick Berman should burn in Hell cuz "Enterprise" sux. :D

I think the main reason was that (the show) Xena stopped being fun for people, and it reflected off the forum. We had debates/complaints on the show's ethics and morals, its violence, and the main characters sex life more than overall show itself.

I've been hanging out over at the "Firefly" fourm and those people are just as serious. But not anywhere near what the Nutforum was! Yet. They've had their share of morons over there too. Those are always good for a giggle. LOL!
But like you said Kendaa, this is all for fun. It's a shame some people have to suck the fun outta stuff like that.
