In case you didn't know (and I don't think anyone has posted this here yet), Riverworld, in which Kev played the role of Valdemar, will premier on the SciFi Channel on Saturday March 22, 2003. They'll run it twice, at 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm (both ET/PT).

Thanks so much for posting this. I've been checking the Sci-Fi site but haven't done so in a couple of days. Been waiting with everyone else to was this.
I've never recorded a movie yet so I don't want to promise till I can figure it out without messing up. Sorry sweets.

Um, Whisper - I could be your backup, but <giggle> I'll definitely have to get my kids to do the recording! (yup, clock is still blinking 12:00).

Actually, I used to be pretty good at tech-stuff before school took over my RL - mainly because I actually read through the manuel step by step. But now. . . and we have one of those VCR/DVD combo-things - UGH! I never know what I'll get when I pop something in! Good thing the kids have it all figured out!

Thank you for sharing the info. I don't have cable myself but I have a friend who does, so I can watch it there.

BTW it also has Cameron Daddo who starred in a wonderful but short-lived series called Hope Island that I loved.

we saw (I think) one ep of that before it got taken off. But that's not surprising - it was on Network 10, which used to put HTLJ on whenever they wanted (including the middle of the night), and when they did put it on at a reasonable hour, would cut it to bits in editing it so that sometimes it didn't even make sense.

I rather liked the look of Hope Island too.

Oh Kendaa, it was delightful. It was supposed to be based on something called Ballykissangel which I never saw, but to me it seemed a lot like Northern Exposure but a bit more kind and gentle. Sweet, quirky, lovable characters. Absolutely breathtaking scenery (filmed in British Columbia). I wish you could see the whole series (which lasted one season 22 episodes). I guess it didn't have enough foul language or smutty stories, so it was cancelled.

Like the Hercules fans, Hope Island fans still hang together at our forum.

That's on ABC tv on Saturdays here. I've become quite addicted. A wonderful range of characters, and it's just lovely and warm and gentle, and very, very funny at times. Really enjoy it!

I'm not sure I can watch this trailer, let alone watch the movie when it comes out, however it comes out. I don't think I could deal with it to be honest.

Ok, shutting up now, but thought you guys would want to know.

I have very mixed feelings about the BW one too. I did watch the trailer in the end and Kev was as always wonderful from what I saw, but it was very hard and very emotional watching him in it.

I did watch a trailer too. It's hard and strange. I want to see his last film but I don't think I could enjoy it and like. I'm not ready. Because if not this trip he would be still alive... I'm sure that Kev did there a great work and I would like him but in this case I have a mixed feelings, sad thoughts.

Me too Tanya. It was a very sad feeling watching the trailer. Have no idea how they'll show it down here in Australia - I honestly don't know if I'll be able to watch it at the cinema if it's released that way first. I might wait until it comes out on video. But I guess I'll wait until the time.

Any idea when Warriors is to be released....the trailer didn't say.....

I have actually put this on my calendar - and made sure my son set up the dvd/vcr thing to record from cable - all is ready!!

Hey, ya'll thanks for the website, pics, and other info. I'm with the majority here. I hadn't planned on seeing the BW movie, but it seems to have gotten good reviews. If WOV is on DVD, I may watch it - alone, at night, with popcorn and tissues (just in case). I'm sure it will be a triumph....

Dragging this up the top to let you know I've just had an email from Amazon.co.uk confirming that the release of Warriors of Virtue II on video/dvd has been cancelled (at least, it's been cancelled in the UK. They didn't say anything about the US release).



Anyway, thought those who might have wanted it might like to know.

Someone on KS SF-Fandom said that WOVII should be release in January. I hope so.

some people like to think they're in the know, the sad truth is, at the moment it's been cancelled, with NO expected release date, at the moment, according to Amazon.co.uk.

'drea, it certainly didn't look at all horrendous from the trailer - it looked really good, so we can only speculate on why it's been cancelled unfortunately.

It looks like the UK/Europe release due for August 26 has been cancelled. Dunno what the state of play is for the US release. I need the video in PAL format (at least for now!), and the US format is NTSC, so I really don't know what's happening with that. Maybe Amazon.com??? Although I'm pretty sure they're connected (Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.com) as when I ordered a few things recently for the first time, they had all my Amazon.com details... I can't imagine what would hold it up or cause it to be cancelled, as it really looked like a pretty good movie going on the trailer.
