Kendaa, go you w/ the Atkins thing--Gonna hafta look into that maybe...<*Shrug*>

Anyhoo, minor gripe from my end--My web's out in my room! I'm down here in the comp lab like a total loser 'cause my network card/slot is pootzed! Grr!
S'posed to fix it Monday though...<*Crosses fingers*>

Just to let you all know where I am most of the time:
(Shameless plug for fave sites!)

www.spuffyonline.com/mm

I'm "SpikeRChick" there.
My profile: http://spuffyonline.com/mm/profile.php?
mode=viewprofile&u=32

(If that doesn't come up, I'll try a repost or something...)

For those of you who know who James Marsters ("Spike") is, it's a forum edicated to the worship of The Man! :D
The Mobsters all made me feel right at home--So smutty and wonderful and fun--Reminded me of you lot, really! <*Giggle*>
Anyway, if you're a JM/Spike fan, please, come join me--It would be wonderful to see all of you!

Another fave site:

www.spuffyonline.com/crumblingwalls

Not there as often anymore, since the Mobsters got a new home, but it's a pretty cool place.

Lastly:

www.bgrocky.com

Click it. It speaks for itself! :D <*Giggle*>
Every Saturday night, 11:30 in the lobby of the
Cla-Zel...Ah, those were the nights...
(In fact, the only reason I'm not prepping now is I'm recuperating from a sinus infection, so...)

Heya!

February 22 2003, 8:06 PM

Thankyouverymuch - still losing and loving it :D

Hey, Laurissa and I are going to THE Buffy convention to end all Buffy conventions in London in June. It's The Harvest and is going to be a total blast.

Guest list:
James Marsters
Anthony Stewart Head
Robia La Morte
The Troika (Adam Busch, Danny Strong, Tom Lenke)
The guy who plays clem (but who's name just escapes me right now - but I LOVE CLEM! Must be the ears...)
George Hertzberg (Adam)
Bailey Chase (Graham Miller)
Jane Espenson
David Fury
Drew Greenberg
Robin Sachs (Ethan)
Julie Caitlin Brown (from B5)
And a couple of BTVS authors.

We've purchased photo tickets to have our pics taken with James and Tony Head, which will be lots of fun, and we'll be lining up for autogs with most of the crew :D :D

Can we say VERY excited??? We'll probably bounce the train all the way from Canterbury to London on the Friday. :D :D :D :D

Lucky You!
Thankyouverymuch - still losing and loving it :D
Glad to hear it! :D

What's all this about you heading for The Harvest?

You lucky stiff!

Hmph! Jealous, now! <*Crosses arms*>

At any rate, that's gotta be exciting!
I know some friends on my "other" Forums headed there, too! :D It sounds like it's gonna be fantastic!

I saw JM @ the Shore Laeve Con in Baltimore, MD last July--That one was only like, maybe an hour and a half from me. Met some CW friends there, sang songs from the OMWF soundtrack...Yeah, good times, good times...
And The Man Himself was just heart-stopping!
<*Swoon!*>
OMG, he is gorgeous in person...Give me a moment...
<*Incoherent squealing*>
OK, back, now! <*Giggle*>
(Yes. I know. I am a FanGirl. By now, I have accepted this. It has officially been declared incurable!)

He did some lines from Macbeth (incidentally, his favorite play--I had read it for 12th-Grade English, so I understood it!) in The Accent, which, as you can imagine was a major crowd-pleaser! <*Squeal!*>

Anyway, I actually got to ask him a question!
I asked him if being a sex symbol had altered his self-perception. He blushed and went all shy and just said, "Well, the girls that reject me are a lot prettier, now!"
(There was more, but I'll have to look it up!
<*Blush!*>)

And you get to meet ASH! What's that like for you?
'Cuz, hello to the awesomeness!
I swoon just thinking about it! Mmmmm...
<*Meep!*>

Anyway, the reason for my hard-core FanGirl response to your meeting ASH is that I've heard he's inclined to do some numbers from Rocky Horror @ the cons. I'm not sure you've heard of this, but he played Dr. Frank in the early '90's London stage revival of the Rocky Horror stageplay. (I have an mp3 of "Sweet Transvestite"--Yum! <*Drool*>)
I can only hope The Harvest should be so lucky as to be graced with his WONDERFUL singing voice!
Details, drat it! I want *DETAILS!*
(Hey, a girl has to live vicariously, sometimes!
I take what I can get! <*Giggle*>)

Go *here*:

http://www.rockymusic.org/cds/head.html

Again I say, <*Meep!*>

Ethan/Robin Sachs--*Nice*.

Three writers!? (Espenson, Greenberg, Fury) Wow...Now *that's* a *convention!*
Just so long as Marti Noxious isn't gonna be there--
Or anywhere! 'Cuz if she were, I'd have to track her down @ that Con & give her a right piece of my mind! Grr...Argh! (Can you tell I'm not the fan?)

RE the novel authors--Yeah, I've read a few of the books...(Hey! Don't blame *me*, it was in my spare time! I didn't know any better!)
Anyway, they're *OK*, but nowhere near on par with the series. I, quite honestly, could take them or leave them, myself. Gotta give 'em their credit where credit is due, though. I admire their courage.
They have to come into a series with a well-established storyline and craft unique tales without disrupting canon--That takes real effort.

My roomie would be SO jealous! You get to meet The Troika! (Which, incidentally, is the brand name of a Russian sled...They really need to think up their nicknames more carefully!)
Anyway, she totally *adores* Danny Strong/Jonathan--But I think it has something to do with his being the underdog, 'cuz she likes Gary Berghoff/Radar (M*A*S*H ?), too. She thinks Adam Busch/Warren has a certain...je nais se quois, but she can't pin down exactly what it is about him. And Tom Lenk/Andrew just grew on her, I think. Plus, he's almost lovable by this point--Kind of like a cute, innocent teddy bear in a way...I can't explain it--You just have to *know*, I think.

TeeHee! Clem! I love Clem! <*Giggle*> (James C. Leary, incidentally!) He's gonna be @ Cleveland, too!
Along with JM (of course!), Andy Hallett ("The Host/Lorne"), and Robin Atkin Downes. (He's "Machida"--That snake-thing from the 1st season "frat boys" ep.?)

Anyway, my roomie (also a major Buffy/Spike/JM fan) and I are gonna see if we can make it to the Cleveland Con ( www.vulkon.com ) because we're @ college in Ohio and it's on a weekend.
Wish us luck! :D

You two are, like, the world's luckiest women!

Take lots of pics, OK? :D
I wanna see! I wanna see! <*Whines*>

Anyway, you two have much fun, OK? :D

(As Tara would say--Good God, that's a l;ot of post! Eep!)

At any rate, signing off, because I think I have to do actual *WORK* at some point in the not-too-terribly-distant future... :/

So, in closing, Kendaa, come join us over @ the Marster's Mobsters Forum--I think you'd get along quite well, there.
And bring friends!

Later!!!!

What's all this about you heading for The Harvest?

Hehe, it should be a blast :D

You lucky stiff!

Hmph! Jealous, now! <*Crosses arms*>

LOL - pretty excited about it :D

I saw JM @ the Shore Laeve Con in Baltimore, MD last July--That one was only like, maybe an hour and a half from me. Met some CW friends there, sang songs from the OMWF soundtrack...Yeah, good times, good times...

They're having a karaoke night - on the Friday I think, with OMWF as the theme, LOL!

And The Man Himself was just heart-stopping!
<*Swoon!*>
OMG, he is gorgeous in person...Give me a moment...

He's a nice guy too from what I've heard. I'm not much of a fan (to the degree I was of Smithy) of any of the guys in the show, really, but I do think they're nice guys and pretty easy on the eyes

(Yes. I know. I am a FanGirl. By now, I have accepted this. It has officially been declared incurable!)

As long as you enjoy it, why the heck not! :D

He did some lines from Macbeth (incidentally, his favorite play--I had read it for 12th-Grade English, so I understood it!) in The Accent, which, as you can imagine was a major crowd-pleaser!

Yep, I've heard he does that, and loves Shakespeare, bless him.

Anyway, I actually got to ask him a question!
I asked him if being a sex symbol had altered his self-perception. He blushed and went all shy and just said, "Well, the girls that reject me are a lot prettier, now!"

LOL!

And you get to meet ASH! What's that like for you?
'Cuz, hello to the awesomeness!

Well I think he's a nice guy and all, but again, not a huge fan girl, and it'll be lovely to meet him (and all the others too), but he just doesn't ring my bells I'm afraid, LOL. Although I have a close friend who just adores him. For one glorious moment, it almost looked like she might be flying over to join us for the con, because she'd give anything to meet him, and we were so hoping, but it just wasn't to be.

Yep, thanks to my mate, I know all about his Rocky interludes and his lovely singing voice. She has his Music for Elevators CD always in her car

Details, drat it! I want *DETAILS!*

Well, you'll get 'em when it's happening! :D

Ethan/Robin Sachs--*Nice*.

LOL - yeah, he's a lot of fun. I've seen con footage of him on stage with Tony Head and they're a crackup. Very, very funny.

Yep, not a bad bunch of writers, eh? I was quite surprised really.

Have to say reading the BTVS novels just doesn't interest me the way reading most of the Quantum Leap ones did way back when, LOL!

My roomie would be SO jealous! You get to meet The Troika! (Which, incidentally, is the brand name of a Russian sled...They really need to think up their nicknames more carefully!)

LOL - yep, looking forward to that too - I like Danny best out of the three of them, so that should be fun too.

Anyway, she totally adores Danny Strong/Jonathan--But I think it has something to do with his being the underdog, 'cuz she likes Gary Berghoff/Radar (M*A*S*H ?), too.

Yeah, I think Tom Lenke has much more going for him than his character of Andrew does, LOLOL! Oh, Adam and his band, Common Rotation, will be performing at a disco on the Saturday night, but we won't be going - costs more for one thing, but Laurissa has two year old Alexander the Great, so we'll be staggering our con times over the whole weekend to get the maximum benefit, but won't be there for all of it, as we'll be travelling up from Canterbury every day and back.

TeeHee!

It's Clem's ears - I just LOVE his ears, LOL! You're lucky to be seeing Andy - God that guy is talented.

Anyway, my roomie (also a major Buffy/Spike/JM fan) and I are gonna see if we can make it to the Cleveland Con ( www.vulkon.com ) because we're @ college in Ohio and it's on a weekend.
Wish us luck! :D

You got it! I hope you get to it!

You two are, like, the world's luckiest women!

Take lots of pics, OK? :D

Yep, we definitely are very lucky and very, very excited women right now, LOL! And we'll take as many pics as we can. They apparently allow you to take pics for the first 10-15 mins of a guest's appearance and then you have to stop, but that's fine, really.
