Hello Everyone,
First of all, a HUGE ***Thank You*** to everyone who placed bids during Part
One of our Kevin Smith Trust Fund Auction. This first set of auctions was an
AMAZING success, to the tune of $502.86! We're totally stunned and very
appreciative that with your help, we've gotten off to a great start. It
looks like we'll be able to raise a lot of money for Kevin's family, which
is a very, very good thing. To keep track of the auction totals, go here:

Secondly, I need to correct something from our original notice. We had said
that you do not need to be registered with PayPal in order to send a credit
card payment for the items you win. This is actually
not true - you DO
need to register with PayPal to make a payment. However, it is quite easy to
sign up. If you need any help with this, please email me at
jstoller@rcn.com. If you have an aversion to PayPal, we can make other
payment arrangements, but please sort this out with us BEFORE the end of the
auction! Thanks very much for your understanding.
Thirdly, I'm happy to announce Part Two of the Kevin Smith Trust Fund
Auction! This week, we submit for your viewing & buying pleasure:
*A whole bunch of New Zealand magazines, dating from 1993-2002, that feature
Kev clips, photos and in some cases articles and interviews. A few also
feature Lucy Lawless, Danielle Cormack, and other Kiwi entertainers. These
are all complete magazines, and many are quite difficult if not impossible
to find.
*A smaller bunch of New Zealand newspapers, from 2000-2001. Some just single
pages, but most are complete newspapers. These also feature Kev clips,
photos, and articles.
*A couple of Sci-Fi 'zines (Starlog and Spectrum) that feature Kev articles
and/or interviews.
*Three posters, two of which are
really big (and one is autographed by
Kevin, part of a limited edition of 50).
and... drumroll please...
*One Say Yes to Apes album (their debut, "Who's That"), which features Kev
on vocals, guitar, and some of the album artwork. Really, really, really
rare! Just 300 copies pressed and distributed in NZ (and I strongly suspect
that bass guitarist Steve Watson has a pile of them sitting in his
basement).
These next auctions will go up on Ebay Tuesday night, March 11, from 9:00 -
10:00 pm EST, and will end during those times on Sunday, March 16.
