Well, here it is - da house. Sorry about (probably!) the size of this, and also the poor quality. It's a scan of pics on a photographic sheet, so...we'll see!

Hmmmm...not sure

...how it happened, but the pics are actually flipped. So what you see on the left at the front (and probably the back too - didn't check that far before I replied to myself, hehe), is actually on the right, and visa versa. DOH.

Sort of a southwest style with the stucco look and thode cool terracotta roof tiles! Way cool!

And look at the big yard! Don't-cha want to get into a planting frenzy? (Ok, maybe it's just me who loves to plan and plant tons of stuff! LOL!)

Love it, Kendaa!

I LOVE it! I wanted to buy a house in that style a few years ago, but we didn't get to it in time. It was sold before we could bid.... Let's see pics of the inside now!

Right - sorry about

the broken link. I fixed the original pic and reversed it so it looks right now - was bugging me to bits, LOL!

I'm so glad you both like it! I adore it. My computer room is right at the back of the house looking onto the garden. Very, very peaceful.

I want to plant things too, and I'm not far off planting lavendar in the area next to the carport, as there's nothing there. The owner told me that I can pick a tree for one spot in the garden where there's not much, and he'll go halves with me in it, so that's great. Still pondering what to grow there though, LOL!

One of my favourite times of the day is watering the front and back (the reticulation still isn't working, which is a pain, because until then I can only water twice a week. As the retic water is bore water from the water table, I can water every day and I just know the lawn is going to throw me a huge thankyouverymuch party when it's working again :D )

I've got 4 rolls of pics waiting developing, so eventually the inside will join the outside piccies, LOL!

Nice Nice Nice!

You can spread out and enjoy!

Y'all are more than welcome to show up here and help me figure out what to do with our yard!!! LOL

I'm so happy for you {{{Kendaa}}} don't forget to pick a huggable tree! (I'm kinda partial to Jacarandas cause they're so pretty in bloom. Purple!!! They don't grow here well- too cold in winter and we can't water them enough for them to be happy. Dunno if they're huggable either)

Jacarandas!!!!

There's one right opposite my house. It was gorgeous watching it flower when I first moved in. It's devoid of flowers again now though. And my gerberas are devoid almost completely of pretty orange flowers. But the roses...oh the roses....to die for. LOL on helping you with your yard 'shana! It takes me a while to keep at it. Those wretched weeds, and the kikuku grass, just never give up!

The owners is coming by tomorrow to hopefully get the reticulation working, finally. If it wasn't for worrying about the size of my water bill, I wouldn't mind watering the front and back every night. It's very peaceful, and really connects me to nature.

You're right about getting a huggable tree, 'shana!!!! Must look into that, hehehe :D

We've got the weeds pretty much under control here. We mostly have St Augustine grass with Bermuda sneaking in from who knows where. And grassy weeds, which when mowed, look like grass too

We don't have that recycled water for the yard, they don't do that here. Well- you can buy rainbarrels to hook up to the downspouts from the gutter and use that, but we have too big a yard to hand water. Guess we could water the 2 trees and 9 bushes we have...

We didn't water at all last summer- that's how much rain we had. Normally, we have rationing in the summer and we can water only on preselected days that are 5 days apart, before 7 am.

Our two trees are kinda puny and not very pretty. They're elms - either Cedar Elms or Winged Elms. I'd rather have red oaks or live oaks. Live oaks grow well here but there's a really bad oak wilt disease here that kills whole neighborhoods of trees so I don't want to get involved in that.

Mountain Cedar (actually a juniper) grows great here too but is a horrible horrible allergen.

I'm thinkin Crepe Myrtles cause they're easy and colorful. We have a huge back yard with nothing but grass and a tiny front yard packed with the aforementioned trees and bushes. And an electric box, telephone and cable stumps ... oh... and the fire hydrant!

We need one of those house shows to come out and help! lol
