Seeing as we got on a roll with the Gary Condit thing, I know you guys have had it for ages but I just LOVE The West Wing. Real adult entertainment:):)
The sad thing is the b***** programmers have it on at 10.30pm. The hardly promoted it and yet it has a steady following and the critics love it. The thing that really sticks in my throat is they promote and put a series called CSI on at 8.30pm (Sorry if you lke CSI but sheesh - what tree does the lead actor come from IMHO?) and leave WW out in the cold - grrr!
One of my favourite subjects!!! You know how much I love it, even if I keep falling asleep before or during it lately. I think it's fantastic how it's taken off here with so little support from Nine in the form of publicity
Hey, I saw that guy from CSI in a movie sometime over the weekend. Ghastly. It was called Fear, and he was every bit as wooden in that too. Ugh. He was annoying me so much I turned it off and went to bed, LOL.

I like WW too

and the new season opener is Sept. 19 or that week. I will definitely set the VCR for that one.
I usually like the CSI show but it's not great. that stuff they do is fascinating.

I'm just teasin'. West Wing is okay, but it's just so not my style. I watch, and listen to, so much real politicing over the airways, that I can do without the fake stuff.
But, I LOVE CSI!! I canNOT wait for the new season to start!! You're talking to a veteran X-Files fan, as well, so be kind.

I agree Shamba - like the concepts in CSI and how they figure stuff out but sometimes the acting is excrutiating!! Joe watches CSI and the X files and yeah Kendaa he isn't too thrilled at Lucy Lawless being in it and maybe as a replacment to Gillian Anderson too;););)

Are they REALLY considering that? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! I will never be able to watch it again!
Just like her to take someone else's happenin' show and try to make it her own. Hmmmm... sounds familiar.
Why won't she just go away (at least until I'm less bitter and small)?

in the bitter and small corner, then, because I just wish she'd go find a nice rock and crawl under it. All we need is for her to start mugging the camera on the XF and I'll be screaming my flat down.
Back to West Wing

IMnotsoHO...West Wing is the best show on tv, bar none. It's one of the few I'll set the vcr for if I'm not home. Great writing, great acting, makes you think, you have to pay attention...definitely not a show you can do something else while watching. I've enjoyed CSI - especially if I can miss the gory beginning and just watch the investigation - another intelligent show. But West Wing rules for intelligent shows. (And for you Sopranos fans out there who might want to chip in - I've never seen it since I don't pay for any premium channels!)
Themis
who has really been surprised WW has been a hit in other countries since it involves so much US politics!

LOL I see what you mean about the american politics but I guess it's so well handled and well written IMHO I've learnt some interesting stuff :):):):)
If a certain Aussie is actually on line tonight and reading this - I'll keep the tap e of tonights ep cos I'm fairly sure she'll miss it in favour of watching Love Mussel 3 million times tonight - her tape has arrived and she's gone off the planet .......... <WEG>

Yep,
Before Schindler's List I used to be hard pressed to answer the question: What's your favorite movie?
Before West Wing I used to be equally hard pressed to pick a favorite TV show. I'm a TV-holic, I've seen so many good shows (and not so good ones) over the years <LOL>. But this one stands head and shoulders above anything else I've watched... and probably anything else I ever will.
I ditto Themis' post!

Just putting my two cents worth in....

I have to say that I looooovvvveeee West Wing. I, too, am a taper. Yes, I'll admit it. I tape. Haven't missed an episode yet. I will say that it took me several episodes to actually get into the series, but once I did, I was hooked. And am I the only one waiting for Josh and Donna to finally make their move? Now, I've read that they are bringing in another love interest for Donna. What's that all about? Bummer. Just love the chemistry between the two of them. But I digress. I like everything about the show. I thought the episode where Mrs. Lanningham died was superb. Sad, poignant and riveting. I could go on and on, but I'm sure I'm boring some of you. So, I'll close, but I just had to tiptoe into give you my humble opinion.
Love and Hugs,
Jessi
