maybe not but I'd bet it's that. The american football season is just about to start in a week or so for real. there's been some preseason games the past couple of weeks.

The Wallabies beat the All Blacks to the Tri-Nations Cup AND the Bledisloe Cup last night!!!!!!!! YES!!!! (Just can't help a bit of national pride on that one!)

Ok, for starters, it's American football. During the football season, I am what is known here in the states as a "football widow". You know, the wife of a football freak that never sees or hears from her hubby 'til the season is over.... I'm sure you know the type.....
So over the years I've listened and picked up a few things. It's one of the few times I get to have a "conversation" with my husband during this time of the year. What can I say, sometimes I miss the fool..... <<shrug>>
I have NO concept of the rules and whatnot of this game. I don't actually watch the games, I kind'a half listen and throw in my coments here and there. Hubby of course thinks that I'm just running my mouth, well in truth, he's right <<lol>>, but I get a kick outta "debating" things with him. With "Bating" being the main word here....

Of course this time I was right about our 3rd string QB. I happen to catch a VERY bad "pass" that he tried to get off and it fell right in his face, I told hubby, "Well, that was nice. That was something I would see in pee-wee football not the NFL. He'll be handed his walking papers after this game....." Of course this was just a pre season game, a pratice game if you will, and hubby says, "Nah, it's just a pratice game, and he's just 3rd string...."
Which at the time meant nothing to me. LOL! Nor could I have cared less. Basically, he all but patted me on the head and thought that was "cute".

Well, he tells me today that the Chiefs have let that guy go. <<SNORT>> Yeah well, that'll teach him NOT to listen to ME!

I hope you had a great weekend. Wasn't this the end of pre-season?

Had a good weekend. Nice and peaceful...... <<snort>> yeah, not around this mad house! LOL!
No, it was a fun one. Being that it was Labor Day weekend, hubby had Monday off from work and Jared was home from school. Which he thought was great since he got a 3 day weekend!

And yes, pre season is over, now I'll never see my husband.... LOL! My friend Leann, whose hubby is just as big a football freak as mine, will be doing alot of shopping. We decided that we were gonna leave the kids with the guys and hit the malls! LOL!
Wanna go with us? You can send Doug and kids over here and we'll all work on melting those credit cards!!

IT'S OFFICIALLY FOOTBALL SEASON


Four football fans go rock climbing one afternoon, a Cowboys fan, a
Packers fan, a Chiefs fan, and a Raiders fan. They had been arguing
all the way up the mountain about who among them was the most
"die-hard" fan. Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the Cowboys fan
proclaimed to the other four..."This is for the Dallas Cowboys!" and
promptly threw himself off the mountain as a form of sacrifice. Not to
be outdone by a Cowboys fan, the
Packers fan jumped up and said..."This is for the Green Bay Packers!"
and then threw himself off the mountain again as a form of sacrifice.
Refusing to be outdone by the Cowboy and Packer fans, the Chiefs fan
rose to his feet and yelled at the top of his lungs "This is for the
Kansas City Chiefs!" and without any hesitation, shoved the Raiders
fan off the mountain.

Go Chiefs!
