This a piece of code i just put in to test, it returns the selected text twice.

I was looking at the handling events part of the help file and only saw about mdx events, but this is a mIRC event (but it only returns twice when i echo the selected text in an mdx listview)

i'm sorry if i'm being a pain, but i'm really baffled (<-- lol, nice word) on this
