the only way i know it can be done is to create an alias that will update the actual list, first you want it to clear all the data out of it with did -r $dname <ID> and then start by adding in all your cr root data and then creating some sort of loop system to check each element and place it into the treeview.
most people have something against loops, what it is i can't imagine, they're very quick and can reproduce over 1000 lines of data in a about a second if coded correctly.
