1) what a good idea. ill just go install some new software just so i can visit this forum. (and thanks for adding yet another advertisement to the forum, by the way)
- or -
DragonZap could use any of the other free forums. i know of 3 offhand that are free, simple to use, dont have ads, and actually work. i guess there isnt much point in bitching about this. i know you cant transfer threads from one type of forum to another. guess we are stuck with this shit.
2) im sorry, i was under the impression that forums were designed to be helpful for people who have specific problems relating to products or ideas on a website. and if someone posts a thread about the same problem that i am having, i can just search for, and
read the thread and not have to post a new (same) one. thus creating a convenient self-helping system.
but youre right, these problems are our own business. they should be directed to the site admin and the site admin only. hey, why dont we just start emailing DragonZap our problems? then network54 wont be able to make any money for a shitty forum, at least. (gee i wonder why this forum is free)
3) please re-read statements 1 and 2.
4) yes i know no one is forcing him to program. and yes i know its free. but you assume that i dont know what it takes to run a website, or to program. i do both. i even admin a forum, and i DO know what its like to keep people informed on updates. it requires at most about 10 minutes a day, providing you actually have updates to inform people about. there are threads in this forum that remain unanswered to this day. (good job?)
i do have respect for his dlls, as i said before, he is a great coder. but his website sucks ass, and you know it. i thought the point of his website was to inform users of his code about updates on his products, and to give some help on using them. i dont think that first page (
http://www.dim-bulb.net/~dragonzap/dlls/) has ever been changed. i honestly dont think we will ever see anything new or hear from DragonZap again. you have some seriously low standards if you view 3 year old websites/software as a good job. ill be sure to avoid anything you produce like the fucking plague, Mustang97.

by the way, i figured out how to solve the problem i originally had the first time i came here:
to add a standard horizontal separator bar to menus created with popups.dll, simply add a carriage return to the menu.
EX: dll popups.dll AddItem menuname end $cr
one would think this would be in the documentation or example script. good job.
