If you want people to join, then don't be so desperate for people to join. After all, if you want people to join, it doesn't do to scare them away, or annoy them by posting so often in close proximity.
Aside from that, while you may have a great idea for your own thread. It's usually better to establish yourself and then do your own thread when there's a break which will leave a few free RP'ers to join you. Because the first thread just happened, and Flake was lucky that his thread became newbie bait. As for Moria, she got in contact with another person on the board and they agreed to do a thread together.
One other tip. Detail never hurts. Granted, I could probably use that advice a bit more myself, but often enough I really only feel that way in the middle of long periods of speech.
So, here's hoping you luck, but I doubt you're about to get people to join you. And meanwhile, there's currently two threads going strong. Though you may prefer to join Moria and SRGPI's thread seing as they have less people at the moment. Flake's thread is starting to get unwieldy.
