Hey Nibi, Great site!

Thought I would chime in on this thread. Not sure of your intended route, but thought I would toss out an idea for at least one leg of the trip that you might not otherwise consider. By going south first (IH-35) you can get into some neat landscapes. For instance, the Flint Hills between Emporia and Wichita are very interesting - big views, sunsets, weather shots like thunderstorms. From there you could tack over through the Texas panhandle - again big skies, vistas, as well as neat rock formations (Palo Dura Canyon and the Caprock). From there you could head either down to the border/El Paso area (Big Bend, Hueco Tanks, and Guadalupe Mountains N.P.) or through N. New Mexico. This is probably the "long" route and am not sure how much time you have, but trust me, this route would have plenty of photo opportunities.

BTW, looking forward to learning much from this site. Maybe I can finally match what my eye sees with what shows up on film!
