Prints or Slides?

Response to Well, I'm Bummed...

 

I feel for you... If you were shooting prints, I have found that the processor often overexposes mine - especially if part of the scene is very dark. For example, it you take a flash photo of one of your buddies around camp and have a dark background. The print machine will try to average the entire scene, thus frying the skintones of your subject. If that is the case take the prints back and ask them to redo them and expose for skintones. Most reputable photos labs will be glad to redo them, or at least help you figure out what you did wrong.
