Lately, I've started having a lot of my film developed at Dale Labs, requesting prints, slides, and CD (Picture CD) from the same roll. I've been pleased with all of them. It sure is nice not having to scan in my pics anymore although I do still have to touch them up a little using Adobe PhotoDeluxe. I've even been able to successfully print 8x10's from the CD (with touch up) although I'll probably go back to scanning to print 11x14's. I'm getting about a 2 week turnaround time with Dale Labs from the time I drop the film in the mail to the time the prints, slides and CD's show up back at my house (least expensive shipping option). Cost is $20.00/roll (24exp) for the above.
When I don't want slides, I still take my film to the local Target and get the Kodak processing. Now though, I ask for a Kodak Picture CD at the same time. Costs about $3.00 more and I don't get double prints but again, it saves a lot of scanning. The Kodak processing through Target has now switched to something they call "Kodak Perfect Touch". Takes 2 days now (used to be overnight), and costs about $1.00 more than it used to but the results are phenomenal! Even from my P&S the prints look like I used the polarizer on every shot. The quality of the pics on the CD seem to be a tad better than on Dale Labs, and the photo software that comes with the CD's is much better than that provided by Dale. I still need to do a little touchup work in PhotoDeluxe but not much. I haven't tried printing an 8x10 from the Kodak CD yet but plan to soon.

btw, is anyone still monitoring this board or, am I talking to myself? Should I turn off the lights on the way out?
