Back in May or June (after I ruined my 75-300 zoom lens), I mentioned that I had been given the go ahead (from my CFO) to purchase a new camera system. I finally decided to get a Nikon N80 with 28-80mm and 70-300mm lenses. It's a combined Birthday/Christmas present but I was given the go ahead to order it early in October. Thankfully, it arrived in time for my Pow Wow Trail backpacking trip so I used it and my trusty OLY Stylus 140 P&S on that trip.
I was very pleased with the way the camera handles and very happy with the results. It's going to take me a long, long time to acquaint myself with all the advanced features of this camera but it has enough simple modes built into it that I was able to use it right away.
