I think the picture is more about the rocks and shadows than the snow patterns and the little sticks are undervalued in this composition. What if you cropped it to exclude everything to the left of "Images" and half of the area below the sticks to bring them foreward?
I like this. I have been trying to decide if the sticks near the bottom add or detract. I really like the interaction among the textures of the rocks and snow and the light and shadow, so the sticks are a bit distracting. On the other hand, they provide a bit of scale. I don't really know how big those rocks are. Of course, the sticks could really be trees and then the rocks would be boulders, I suppose.
