we dont know how much damage a missile would do to a Sharlin. We know the pulse cannons on a fury dont do crap, so a swarm attack could end up being a suicide run. Also, a Nial outclasses a Starfury, the the nimber advantage could quickly drop, especially with a Sharlins defense grid.

Also, the sharlins could target the poseiden 1st, disable it, destroy the escorts (which the EM War showed wont stand a chance if consisting of Nova's and Hyperions), then finish it off.

I'm not saying its a totally bad idea. It would be a good strategy against the younger races, including the Narn and Centauri, but agaisnt older races like the Minbari and Drakh, it would probably be a waste of men and equipment.
