The minbari, even with their advantages, had to fight three long hard years of war before they were able to attack Earth.
Ever since that war, EF has seen massive jumps in technology including alot of Shadow technology they were given or stole. The massive amount of debris in Earth orbit of Drahk technology as well as the new technologies they are recieving from the IA. Add on that the EF has gotten alot of combat experiance lately, testing their new ships, technology and tactics.
