Response to Eulogy For My Best Friend

I will not try and lessen your pain by saying 'I know how you feel'. Quite frankly I don't. My life, as bad as its got over the years, has been a cakewalk compared to yours. But you are still here, you survived it all. Draw strength from that simple fact and live.
I won't say the worst is behind you, life is never that fair. But there are little happinesses along the way, small victories, if you only put yourself in the frame of mind to see them. That's the thing that's kept me going.
I've too had cats in my life. I lost them all a long time ago. My mother said 'never again' and I've always regretted following her dictate.

Oh, and the words from the past? In one of my really bad years someone long dead saved me. I read a quote on a washroom wall, of all places; "That which does not kill you, makes you stronger". I didn't know at the time who wrote that, I could not have cared less really. I thought it lame really, but there was something in it all the same, something true. Thank you Friedrich Nietzsche, I still live.

Galen: Hmm? Oh, sorry. I was just trying to work out whether a comment from me right now would be 'most wanted' or 'least needed'.
Expect me when you see me.
