You'll find barbed shields mostly in Act 1 catacombs or in Act 2 any of the open places. i.e. far oasis, rocky waste. Of course this is only in nm or hell difficulty, did you save your imbue for a barbed shield?
i saved my imbue for it and its hard to lvl and stuff and i need to get iceblink so i dont know them back i think. but i dont knwo yet any advantages or disadvantages with iceblink?
Last time Keikan posted he said the thread was running out of space or something, so he told me to start a new one---I don't know if that can happen or not, but I did what he told me...sorry man i know you're just doing your job. We just did what we thought we should do.
There are a couple of drawbacks from using iceblink...from what I've heard, cuz I've never used one. But apparently if there's a large group around you you can actually box yourself in and monsters with polearms can still hit you while you're trapped. Another is that you have no corpses to use redemption. I don't see these as major drawbacks, the freezes target is it's biggest advantage obiously. On the shields, they are roughly comparable seeing as how they both have high block% the open wounds will help you a little bit in normal, but later on it doesn't take that much life away from monsters, use either one until you get a barbed shield. The +mana on the rare shield is nice though...remember the more man you have the faster it regenerates.
so far ive been playing witha friend (necro) we mnade new characters and been playing togerther, i got the quersts for act 2 while he lvled and then he got quests for act 3 while i lvled, im now lvl 26 use barbed shield , holy shield, and concentration, i do about 60-130 damage and i use ice blink armor and it is very nice right now. got to act 4 at lvl 24, and by the time i beat hellforge i got lvl 26, easy, this smiteadin i made is 100% legit, not a single cheat on him, he hasdnt ever died yet. he rules. well thnx for all the help optimus im on a role now.
