used is at McFarland Lake, using the Arrowhead Trail (Cnty 16) from Hovland. From McFarland you have three options; Enter Pine lake and westward, enter South Fowl lake and the Boundary route or, the best for scenery, smaller lakes and fewer paddlers - the middle path to East and West Pike lakes. If you chose that the Pike lakes route, I have some further suggestions for exploring.
