My packs are packed & I will be missing Canoecopia

by Worth (Login worth-voyageur)

I spent yesterday preparing and packaging my meals for an upcoming trip from the headwaters of the Choctawhatchee River to the Gulf. Come late February after working a week of nights, Jose and I will leave first thing in the morning when my 10 hour shift is over. Hopefully, I can sleep in a moving SUV until Nashville. I decided I better get an early start because I know I will not accomplish anything during the week of nights I agreed to work. My son was sick today and I called in to take care of him. I inventoried the items in my pack to insure I have exactly what I need for the trip while he slept, nothing more and nothing less.

I am now 95% packed and am looking forward to my first trip out of three planned for this year. Unfortunately, I did not consult the calendar prior to volunteering to work nights. It looks like Jose and I will be concluding our trip the same Saturday evening your parties begin.
