Canoecopia Platyfest Announcement!!!!

by (Login Glydr)

The calendar just turned over to February. That can only mean one thing, it is Canoecopia Platyfest time!
Most of us know the drill, but for those that are new or will be attending for the first time, here are the details.

Dinner will be Saturday March 10th, 7:30pm at the Black Bear Inn, located in Cottage Grove. The restaurant is a short 10 minute drive from the Alliant Center. Maps will be available.
Dinner choices are prime rib, baked potato, salad, roll and butter and dessert, or, teriyaki chicken breast, baked potato, salad, roll and butter and dessert.
Dessert will once again be lovingly baked by our own BDW. The choices are, her award winning chocolate fudge brownie with icing or the ever popular apple pie square. Both served ala mode.
Cost for dinner will be $13.99 per dinner, plus tax and gratuity (5.5% tax and 18% gratuity.) Beverages are not included.
Heres how it works. Send me an email. Make sure your address is correct, with your name (ccbb), number in your party, choice of dinner AND choice of dessert. If you are attending and will order off the menu, please let me know that too. Understand that if you order off the menu, you will receive your dinner in an appropriate amount of time. A few have done this in the past and there were no issues. If you would like to add the dessert, you will be charged ala carte. Again, please let me know in your email. Once I receive your reservation, I will email a confirmation back within 2 days of receiving your email. If you dont get a confirmation in 2 days, please submit again stating duplicate, just in case there is a glitch on either end.
Dress code. Really?
Comfortable casual is suggested.
Payment. Cash or check made out to Black Bear Inn.
In an effort to keep the door clear at the restaurant, Id like to get the money/tickets taken care of either Friday night or during the day on Saturday. If you are making reservations for several people, I am appointing YOU to collect monies for YOUR party. If you are ordering off the menu, you will pay the Black Bear Inn directly.
I will be in late Friday night or you can catch me at the Clarion at breakfast before opening. I will also be spending time in the entry foyer at the Prairie State Canoeists booth.
I would like to have all reservations by March 1, so the food can be ordered. I will turn over numbers to BDW on the 2nd.
I think that about covers everything. If you have questions, feel free to email me, I will reply when I can.
Note: I have a new email address, so make sure you send to the address above, Glydr@sbcglobal is no longer being used.

One last note: If you are reading this, you are welcome to attend this event. Please, please make a reservation with me. There is limited seating. Even if you are just stopping by, and may decide to sit down, make a reservation.
