When Chain Saw Sisters was still there. About '98, I think,

It was a great route, we went in S Hegeman up the Angleworm Trail (more on that in a minute). Went Angleworm, Gull, Gun, Moosecamp, down Moosecamp R into Fourtown, over to Horse, Tin Can Mike then out Sandpit and Mudro.

I remember camping on Gull, Fourtown and Tin Can Mike and all were fine sites. This was in July and while we did run into a lot of folks around Fourtown, the rest of the trip was pretty and on our own.

Two things I remember about it worth noting: The Angleworm Portage is long and up and down and up and down. Being the first day in, we were loaded down with all our provisions and it took a long time for this out of shape paddler. But it was done and no real concern. The portage from Sandpit into Mudro is surprisingly steep and rocky, but still doable (and I carried my then 70 lb royalex Mad River Exploer).

Its a good route. Have fun!
