Solo advice

by (Login queticogal)

Follow your gut- !!!! Having soloed a couple of times up in Quetico- that made a huge difference -

that and having lots of water ready for the drinking during the day- also kept a bottle of water with replenish mixed in -(an electrolyte mix) that helped out alot

traveled very early in the am - got up and on the water by sunrise - stopped early afternoon and avoided the winds... that was my routine anyways- happy.gif

Enjoy - the days will go by wayyyyyy tooooo fast!

What sets a canoeing expedition apart is that it purifies you more rapidly and inescapably than any other travel. Travel a thousand miles by train and you are a brute; pedal five hundred on a bicycle and you remain basically a bourgeois; paddle a hundred in a canoe and you are already a child of nature.
