American Point to McEwen, Day 1

Got a tow to American Point and paddled to Cache Bay Ranger station where we met Janice, who helped us fill out our self-permits.

SSW winds picked up as we left the Ranger station and headed up the west side of Cache Bay.

Made it to one point short of the channel to Silver Falls, I was wind bound on a small island in my Wenonah Advantage for a couple of hours,

while Joe and Jeff in Jeff's Old Town Canadienne checked out nearby campsites.

Once the wind died down a little I joined them to set up camp.
