Just outof interest why does your horse lean on the partition - do you travel him on his own with the partition in - if this si the case then he likely leans on it as he is off balance. You should take it out when travelling him on his own - you don't say if you travel him with company or not. As far as partitions go - they have a gap incase the horse tries to lie down.
