Hey all. I was out at Wal-Mart™ tonight and found something I didn’t know I needed. It’s a state map in a large easy to read and follow format with the state broken down into 64 different pages. (Indiana that is.)
I noticed while I looked thru the stack here at my “Indiana store”, that they also carried adjacent state maps, so I may pick up one or two of those eventually too. They’re highly detailed and include GPS grids and numbering as well. It wasn’t cheap: $17.95, but IS HIGHLY DETAILED. I’d think a map like that would be good for keeping detailed information about sightings on, as well as not being so dependent on the “net” for those crapy Yahoo or MSN maps we all love.
It’s made by DeLorme, and caught my attention, ‘coz I thought it was the old standard Rand McNally, but ‘duh’ to me… it’s not. I think in some ways it’s better. It even is a detailed topographic map, so that’s a plus.
Just thought I’d let you all in on my little discovery tonight. Cool map… highly recommend you find one at your Wal-Mart™ for your state.
