In life there is a harmonic balance of inner soul and expression. We each hold the key to inner-enlightenment. We journey on a path unknown to our humble minds, but we expect the unexpected for we are practitioners of the new world. Hopefully open minded enough to see the truth within all of us. The enjoyment and fullfillment of self observation and the drive to succeed in a world of constant struggle and Negativety. We are in constent battle with the dark side, but we prevail, for we are the new generation of warriors, a new breed of practitioners. Enlightened with the truth of understanding the WAY!
WE must carry on the dreams of previous practitioners , for we carry forward the dream of elighten ment and strength carried on thru the generations of warriors prior. The beauty of it all masked by ignorance and strife, but one day we will brush the hair out of our eyes and see the truth that we are all on the same journey. Explicedily tyed together in a void of conscieceness. We are the new generation to carry the torch of life. Which we will do with exitement and loyaltee to the principles of the warrior. We must move on and see the way!
WE are the carriers of the new way that mirrors the old, forever entertwined in a duplicate role of complacency and the lack of devotion to a structured sitiuation. For we are the open minded evolution of JKD, bending to the reality of absorbing what is usefull while adhearing to the old way, for all is right under the sight of our life. We shall overcome obsticals to prevail as one in the journey to concepts that lead to inner peace and perfection, we can only wish to do as well as our previous brethren. But we will, if we keep an open mind and carry on the way!! I leave an open mind out there to experience every energy and strength for I am open minded and capable of change, for to remain stagnet is to freeze the mobilization of your learning. Every option is possible when you keep the notion that other people might have a better Idea. Closed minds are doomed to repeat the same thing repetedely instead of new things that build their concepts of martial arts in general! We will be the fore-barers of our childrens desires, so let's teach them the right way to the journey of the inner soul, instead of leading them on a journey of blind devotion that leads to no-where! From a sifu that cares about our future in the realm of concepts.

Interesting post...I have a few comments about some of your statements.

I do not believe we have prevailed against the "dark side" especially considering that psychopaths, murderers, rapists, child molesters and many other "dark sided" people are still doing what they've always done. Nor do I believe that ANY of us are enlightened with the truth of understanding the "WAY" as you put it. The only thing we can hope to understand is what we have "experienced" within our lives and whether we let it impact us in a good way or a bad way.

Carrying on the dreams of others is what screwed up the martial arts in the first place. We must fullfill OUR dreams and teach others to do the same.

We are most definetly not on the same journey, the only thing that we all do that is exactly the same is that the fact that we live and we die. Some could be seeking the same things...but all of us as a whole are not. Our as someone else said "your path is not my path nor mine yours"

It is not a new way if it mirrors something of the old...something new is new, something old is old, something old with a new look is just that. Don't ever be complacent in any endeavor...complacency slows progress.

Why bend to reality? Why not just be real to begin with? All is not right under the sight of our life..if it were then there wouldn't be a million martial arts systems.Do not simply adhear..adapt.

Nothing is perfect in this world..all we can do is live our lives as best we can and continually become better in all things. Perfection implies an ending point...progress is never ending.
This is not an attack on your post or you Fish..this is my observation and thoughts regarding the subject of your post.
Ignorance is a stepping stone toward progress..for we are all ignorant in some things...
The Comment dark-side pertains to your own war between positive and negative(which I call my dark side)in all of us. It is real hard to stay positive with all of the negative stuff going on in this world. So it seems like a person is always mentally in a battle with negativety and Martial Arts is a tool to help you stay positive. I don't expect everyone to understand it, Just read it and try not to pick it apart. Just absorb my thoughts with an open mind. And trying to understand all of it, means nothing! Afterall they are just words. It seems like my writings are always picked apart in here, When it really does'nt matter what I write. Just read and contemplate. No Offense meant, but this letter from him looks like I am up for trial and the lead prosecuter is cross examining my statements(#1,#2,#3 ect..) That's fine though, Just felt it was strange to pick me apart like that. But I must expect it if I include everyone else in my writings.But suggesting that I may be ignorant is way out of line. I am not the one who can't understand a word I wrote! Besides you don't know me and one thing I am not is ignorant. But you are entitled to your opinion and I will respect that!! James from your letter did you really figure out anything I said? Alittle maybe? Sorry I made complicated statements with deep meaning. Next time I write it in Laman's terms so more of you could understand it. I get carried away some times. But all of us here at my kwoon, did get LoLs off of your cross examination. No where in my response did I imply that you were ignorant in any way. Nor was I out of line either. Understanding what you wrote is not an issue, in fact there is nothing about what you wrote I did not understand. I wasn't intentionally "picking" apart what you wrote. And if you and the guys at your "kwoon" had a laugh at what I wrote then great..someone smiled at least.
And one thing...I am not a layman by any means. Nothing "to me" that you wrote was complicated. But when writing on a forum all language should be in "laymans" terms if you will. Many people with no martial arts experience come to this board. So metaphorical or not..keep it simple so the novice can understand it.
As far as your posts being picked apart all of the time..that is what a forum is for..discussion on anything and everything includings peoples views. Everyone here seeks to learn from one another and I assume that you do as well.
I would have responded the same way to your initial post whether Bruce Lee, or Any body else wrote it. And as I said on the bottom of my post..this was NOT an attack on you or your post. It was my observation...nothing more or less. Personally I think your post was very poetic and thought out. There where just things that I wanted to voice my opinion on..this being a forum for learning and all.
And whether you are a Sifu in anything means little on a forum...I am an instructor myself..have been for quite a while. But who cares we are all here to learn and the one thing in common we all have is the fact that we are human beings. NO ONE is here to teach any body...we are here to share..whether someone learns something from our thoughts or posts is up to them.

Ah James. Not sure if you have read any of Fish's posts before, but he comes on here every so often when he thinks no one who knows him is watching and puts up a load of ****. "humblefish" Who in the hell writes that if they are truely humble.
