I've been doing JKd for about 5 mths now and my lead arms elbow is always sore (tennis elbow). Anyone have experience dealing with this? I think it's caused by throwing jabs.

Start using your otherside as your lead side.
give time for your sore arm to heal. also as your arm heals your other side will develope more.
Your instructor/Sifu should see this problem, if not tell them, and they should adjust your training to compinsate for your sore arm!

Remember traning hard is not always the way!
Training cleverly is always another way!

Anonymous had a very good answer indeed.

Just do add, are you locking your arm completely when punching? If so, this can damage the elbow. Your punches should have an ever slight bend in them when they are extended in a punch to prevent elbow damage.

I'd suggest seeing your doctor if you haven't done so already. And yes, give it a rest and train your other side.

I've been there don't panic. Take a little rest and relaxation.
