What are your opinions on challenges from people that want to fight you or spar you? Do you accept them all, not accept them, accept some? Whats your opinion on people challenging people and do you think its good or not?(Not all the people challenging you have to be martial artists)
Also what is your mentality when people Challenge you?

I'm up for a friendly sparring match. I have sparred with people from different styles and I always learn somthing new, it's great. I wouldnt call it a challenge, thats a good way to end up in the hospital. If someone asked in a respectful way that they wanted to get padded up and go at it, then I'm game.
I agree with Phases here. If someone asks in a respectful manner there is no problem. Actually if someone where to ask in a disrespectful manner I think I would probably accept. I do not have anything to prove to others, but I do like to fight.
Did Bruce Lee not get loads of challenges which he accepted? he was also known for giving out his challenges. Was it not a problem on the set of enter the dragon? I guess he was really really immature.
Well, I´t depends. If I would be challenged for a friendly match then I would always accept.
If I would be challenged to a real fight then I would only accept if I would feel that I could just play with the guy without hurting him. If I would have to hurt him then I wouldn´t accept.
I like to fight but not if I have to permanently injure someone to win
Depends on the venue. If somebody challenged me on an internet forum, then, well, I'm not too worried about it. If somebody calls me out on the street, or in a bar, or at my house, or in the dojo, then I'm gonna accept.
In each of these situations, the guy would have to come to me- not the other way around.
Id say go for it....I mean heck I don't know of any Challenges that Bruce Lee didnt pass on....Its' the JKD way. If it was okay for the founder it's defenitly okay for the followers.
Personally I think if you have a problem with someone and your challenged, set up a friendly match with some of the same rules as UFC type setting. I mean if your gonna do it, theres no sense in getting completely destroyed or vice versa if you can't prove you got skills without poking out someones eyes, or breaking a knee or whatever then you don't need to be learning to fight anyway....If you want to poke out eyes, and rip out larynx's and kick in the "junk" and break bones well mays well just street fight and say screw it and take that chance on going to jail/prison and getting a major lawsuit maybe.
I believe that friendly sparring is ok as long as there are protective gear (pads).
As for real fights, i would only protect myself, i would not accept a challenge, because there is no need to fight! The only reason someone needs to fight is to protect himself and those around him/her.
Pride is nothing to fight for...
I agree that its ok to spar someone in a friendly environment and that the person understands what both of you are doing. I think if someone wants to start something then a good martial artist should advoid it until necessary to defend himself and not let himself get walked all over.

"Bruce Lee accepts challenges so why dont i"
I thought Bruce Lee did not want people to blindly follow him
"I will accept challenges because I love to fight"
I also thought that people in martial arts were supposed to have self discipline
Im guessing accepting challenges on the street will not get you killed eventually(think about it)
