I hear all the time about how these normal street fighters always beat eachother up and are such great fighters. whats your opinions on some one who does not train against some one who does train?

Personally, I think some that does train will have the upperhand. If you train you spar, if you don't train well, then you eat potato chips and watch Tom & Jerry cartoons.

The question is confusing. Do you mean someone who only fights on the street vs someone who has trained or someone has never done any fighting vs someone who has trained.
If it is the former than it comes down to the individual streetfighters natural talent and the trained guys level of instruction. There are lots of **** fighters out there who have been "trained". If it is the latter it will be the trained guy simply because they will be fitter.
Well the bottom line is their are generally two types of people.
People who are naturally born with great fighting instincts and are typically great fighters and never been trained a day in their life. I know several of these people.
secondly their are the guys who just naturally are not "tough" or have that mindset or "heart" if you will.
Their is the small percentage of those that have alot of heart and don't take **** from anyone but can't fight a lick to save their life. I know people like this too hahaha...
One thing I normally found which is kinda stereotypical but alot of your good ol' country boys are usually pretty much your tough guys. Sum of those ****ry boys are just naturally good fighters.
To be honest it really doesnt take great skill to normally be a successfull fighter, because even the best of the best loose. I think its all based on the time of day, and what type of luck your having in that general moment. I"ve seen some guys in the martial arts that have great form, looks good in a controled environment they just look good and looks like they know what their doing, but you put em to the test and take em to the mat and go all out they suck. And guys don't take this personal because im not speaking on behalf of all JKD guys but alot of JKD guys really can't fight at all. Thats just been my experiences.
And before I get ripped to shreds here for that comment, our area that Im from is a really deep rooted area for great Karate Fighters from the Old Kickboxing days, some of the best Kickboxers were trained here in my city from some of the guys I've trained under. Bill Wallace, Ross Scott, Ron White, Joe Corley. And although alot of people look down on Karate but I've seen some killer Karate fighters in my day.
But back to the initial question, I think that if you put the time in training and working hard for the most part if you had to defend against an unskilled or untrained fighter you should have the upper hand but keep in mind thats not a guarantee, and all it takes is one wrong move and quick hard right and its all over. I remember seeing a buddy of mine back in the day who was this great Karate/ Kickboxer and he never lost a fight and in our younger years we fought alot and had quite the reputation, but I did see him get the crap stomped out of him from a "nobody" w/ no training. And just so you can hear it from me so you know the ego isn't here either I've had my keester kicked a few times as well and one of the times by a wrestler that hit me so many times so fast that I didnt have time to adjust to the first punch he hit me at least 10 more times and before I knew it I was on the ground getting the holy Poop beat out of me. Boy I miss those days......LOL.....good training..hahaha

You all have put things in proper perspective but the assumption is that the street fighter dose not train. That is baced on your perspective. Dose this person play sports like basketball? If he dose he probally has good cardio and speed. Dose he lift weights or have a job lifting heavy? If so he will have power. As far as knowing what to do punching, kicking, choking, will works well for anyone who is aggressive. There are some people who take traditional MA's who are real good street fighters because they know what works and what dosn't and it's not rocket science.
