Just wondering...

if anyone on here has experienced this;
You've just started training and perhaps a couple of exercises into it when you decide, "this doesn't feel too bad"! You feel good and you are beginning to enjoy your routine. Now compare this to the day before last, when starting the exact same routine, again a couple of exercises into you've decided it's hard. You feel lethargic with no energy and if you weren't determined enough to continue with your long term goals then you'd give in.
Does anyone have any ideas on why this is? Assuming of course like me, you've had two strikingly similar days whereby you've done exactly the same thing on both days at the same time.

somtimes you just get on a roll. I remember a couple of years back I was at the gym for 4 hours pushing, lifting at my top weights. Doing the normal routine more than twice but still I felt I could go on. It was incredible, I felt like Bruce Willis's character in unbreakable. Suffice to say I have never repeated that feeling exactly but you always have days that things seem easy and others where they seem hard. This is I believe a mixture of many things, regular training and mentalilty. The other thing was I was going up in front of a live audience of about 250 people to sing solo so I was pretty hyper that day.

Question everything, Know nothing.

No two days are really alike

I have had the same experience, and there are days where I feel more energized after i work out..even though I did as much work or more than the otherday that just about killed me.

The human body is complex (duh) and there are so many factors that can come into play. When I work out, (esspecially when I have a good day) I try to remember what could have contributed to it. How much sleep did I get the night before, what did I eat that day, what did I eat before I worked out, what time of day is it, what was work like...etc etc.

Sometimes it can be things from weeks before that affect our bodies, so it is hard to say. My suggestion is to try to keep a log, and see how your body reacts....and try to replicate as many positive factors as possible.

Even then, some days are just better than others.
