many have said that slipping and side-stepping are the best defensive tactics (other than interception) since all of one's tools are free.
how many of you practice slipping and side-stepping?
it seems that many people avoid the finer boxing aspects of jkd.
I train my side-stepping everytime I train. Footwork is very important, and right after I warm up and do a quick stretch, I practice my footwork, for about 20-30 minutes. Then I work my punches, kicks and at the end, I put everything together and flow.
Slipping in boxing is different because of gloves, how about slipping and arm destruction, and locks and throws as these are missing from boxing (sport boxing) some are included in bareknuckle old street style.
