I've been training for about a month now, and I was wondering if anybody has any tips that they could give me. I'm always open to advise. Please tell me if there are any Websites that provide good information. Thank You.

use gloves and have someone hit you hard. hitting each other lightly with no gloves is useless. train slipping and avoiding hits by using footwork and countering rather than blocking all the time. intercept with strikes and grappling instead of absorbing hits. blocking is not to be avoided completely, but must be kept to a minimum.
train all phases:clinch, ground, and stand up.

Have an exercise routine, other then your martial arts techniques. Do some basic stuff for now, like Push-Ups, Squats and Crunches.

Practice your techniques when ever possible, concentrate on using PERFECT form.

I would practice basic boxing skills on a regular basis jabs, crosses, hooks, bobs and weaves with this really work your footwork as said before. And as far as tech. i like to stay away from base tech meaning a tech that has to be done a certain way because as most of us know that is not how its gonna go down in a fight so make sure you practice tech that you have to choice reaction in the middle of move or even on the defense. But i think if you work your basic skills that will help everything flow together much better. hope that helps.
