Ok thanks, also can you tell me Bruce's cardio workout? i think i heard that he ran 4-6 miles every morning and then ran again or biked for 40 minutes after lunch. Is that correct?
I was wondering which one i should buy first The Art of Expressing the Human Body or Tao of Jeet Kune Do.
Tao of JKD also is a compilation of Bruce's notes and also includes information about his training. I was wondering which one would be a better choice. I was thinking of reading the Tao of JKD first and then The Art of Expressing the Human Body because Tao of JKD is very popular, what do you guys think?
hmmm actually Lee did not write that. As far as I am aware none of "His" books were released in his lifetime. The art of expressing the human body was written by John Little with edited extracts of Bruce Lee's notes. There are plenty of books bearing his name but if you take a closer look you will see the author is not the same.
Whilst Jack is right about Bruce's books, I think it would be unfair to say that because he didn't write them that they do not contain much of Bruce's thoughts. It's just some do more than others.
'The Tao of JKD' technically was written by bruce but compiled and organised by his wife Linda, it was from notes that Bruce had made while he was alive. Whilst some of John Littles books do have their worth, some unfortunately don't. Lucky for you 'The Art of Expressing The Human Body' is one of the good ones. In fact, it's probably the best out. It was taken directly from Bruce's training notes. Get it! It's probably the single most inspirational book I have read about Bruce, and I have a lot of books.
