Unfortunaly I have to admit something.....I have been reading posts off here for some time and it really seems Lamar Davis has a problem. He brags way too much about how awesome he is. A real martial arts master is a humble man and doesn't have to go around telling everyone how many different original students he has trained under over and over and over until you just can't take it anymore. Lamar Davis I believe is a real martial artist but he overrates himself way too far. Being at the age he is at, he should have at least taken the time to slow down and mature a bit. Unfortunately he does little at showing any maturity at all by arguing with kids off the internet on how he is legit and a real bad a$$. Second he doesn't even know how to follow his own art. He says he practices JKD and in reality all he does is practice JKD using the exact same techniques as Bruce Lee. JKD is a process of self -discovery. You can't be a robot to an agenda. And further more, it has been said by reputable JKD teachers more qualified than Lamar that if you don't evolve the art and make it a personal expression instead of treating it like Karate....you are not doing it correctly. Now everyone knows big ol' Colonel Sanders of JKD is going to come on and reply with something trying to prove he is right and I am wrong because the man is insecure. Why else would anyone have 6000 tapes on one art? He is not only trying to prepetuate JKD in a solidifed state which is against what Bruce Lee against, he is trying to rip people off. Fortunately he knows not a whole lot of people buy em so he has to knock the price down. Well anyways that's that. See yaz

You know I hope Lamar Will not waste the time to even post on this post. You stated you have to evolve or its not JKD. First a person has to know something to evolve from. And the key to JKD is you learn it And find how you can use the different tools. That is how you go on. And sure people keep looking. But perhaps looking makes you more aware of what you aleady have. Bruce did that to. Problem is JKD gets to argued over . Because to many people want to think every thing is JKD these days. When You take time to learn it then If want to go beyond Thats great. But if you have not learned and want to call Book training. Or this and that mixed JKD well We all know a cat is not a dog. But some people I guess can not tell the difference.
