hi im phil im 20 and i live in the uk and im currently learning kickboxing i have been doing it on and off for about 2yrs now and personally i think im kinda good nothing special though!
im going for my black belt at the end of next year and im really looking into teacher classes of my own after i have my instructors licence.my instructor has decided to take up AKIDO and has tryed to woo me into it but its not really my thing!
i have worshiped bruce lee for many years now and i would love to be just like him (as if!!) so i would like to know if any1 knows of any jeet kune do classes in the westmidlands of the uk or any web sites that i could use to teach myself thanx for all ur time hope to hear from u guys soon thanx phil...

I don't know of any place in the westmidlands of the uk, or that many websites, but there is a multitude of books on JKD, among them are:

1) Tao of Jeet Kune Do- Great book for learning (there are no classes in my
area either so I'm teaching myself too).

2) Bruce Lee's Commentaries on the Martial Way- Also great, in my opinion, I really like this book the best.

3) Bruce Lee's Fighting Method (Volume 1-4)- Each is great and they all are essential (personally, I have Volume 2: Basic Training because I am 14 and I'm not making any money .

Hmmm... That's all that I can think of off of the top of my head. I'm sorry that I cannot help you find classes or websites, but I believe that you will learn alot from these books.

Im not one to say but ill say it anyways you should give aikido a chance . i know i would if i had the opportunity .

Get the books of Bruce Lee, integrate what you have now and what you will learn in the future. Adaptation is the best skill

just get yourself a copy of 'martial arts illustrated' from most large newsagents (wh smith). It's full of uk instructors and I'm sure I've seen a few in the midlands advertised.

try reading the book "the Tao of Gung Fu" by Bruce Lee. this will help you better understand the " tao of jeet kune do".
