Hello everyone!I just did a week long H.I.T. session with Sifu Lamar Davis and I have to say it was the best Martial Arts training I have ever been through in my life!" Not for the timid" For all of us that never had the opportunity to train with Sijo Lee Jun Fan, this is the closest anyone could ever get! Sifu Davis Skill and knowledge are extraordinary!I have all of the Jun Fan/Jeet Kune Do Complete tapes however, there are things that you will never quite understand without hands on training with Sifu Lamar Davis. I was met at the airport by Sifu Davis and taken to the hotel I stayed at and from there it was nonstop southern hospitality! I got to see the beautiful city of Birmingham and the surrounding area, many great restaurants and malls and the country side was beautiful! The JKD training was very Intense, and I have the bruises to prove it! I even got beat up by his Mook Jong!!! LOL Sifu Davis has a great since of humor! I have not laughed that much for 7 days straight ever!! I highly Recommend that if you want the most Intense JKD training you could ever get and one of the best vacations with one of the greatest Martial Artists in the world, the week long H.I.T. session with Sifu Davis is for you!!

- the Up with Lamar Davis Foundation

- Gee Lamar is swell social club for young men

Well, Far be it for me to say but why not spend your money and go see a 'real' First Generation student? they are still out there and then you could be second generation just like Lamar
Just my two cents worth

Have a Happy Happy Day

lamar's a lot younger than those first gen. guys...he's probably easier to relate to and at this point probably has a higher level of skill..i would train with both if i could...i'm not a lamar sychophant...i actually train in methods that he might consider inadequate and vice versa, but i respect him as a martial artist...you need to have at least a little talent to do what he has done

Ah, the old "why train with Lamar when you can train with some unnamed first gen student" argument. And note this argument never seems to be applied to ANY OTHER second gen student, only Lamar. Why is that?

Do you think it's possible, just possible that the reason people post about how much they enjoyed training with Lamar could be that they enjoyed training with Lamar? Is that such a bad thing? People talk about how much they enjoyed training with Tommy Caruthers, Matt Thornton, Paul Vunak, fill-in-the-blank.

Regards,

John M. Drake

Good point

Also consider that Lamar has gathered together all of Bruce Lee's material and teaches it very well. I can't think of any first gen student that has "the total package" like Lamar does.

But, mostly, you're just hating for no reason at all. I don't get it.
