sword training

in many martialarts weapons are considered as an extenson of your hands, and thus the techniques resemble those of the hands, for example in wing chun the "8 butterfly sword techniques" or "bart cham dao" relate very much to the hands ,for example:tan sau= tan dao, pak sau = pak dao, etc.
one system that uses this concept extensively is Filipino Kali, where you can either use empty hands, sticks and eventually knives and swords. thats why many martial artist are combining wing chun and kali training, because of some of the similarities in structure and flow of techniques. so my recomendation: filipino kali.

Yea, single stick training in Kali is very similar to Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do. The footwork is pretty much the same and you use your lead hand to hold your stick... Power side forward.
