when boxing someone with reach get in closer. Your going to get hit, but hey your boxing. People with reach are trained to take advantage of that first. If you get inside and aim toward the abs instead of the head it should be easy.

Get in close! His strategy is to distance himself to have his reach advantage, your strategy is to get in close and not allow him to gain enough distance.

Fake high to go low, rush in on him and hook his body. Bang his body and go for his head with short jabs or upper cuts. His natural instinct will be to cover up his head, when his gaurd is up, go back to attacking his body.

Keep your hands moving, don't let up...

i'm taller than most people. when someone crowds me while purely boxing i become annoyed, but when we are sparring with mma rules i like it. i find it easier to knee shorter people when they are in close. i alwaYS let people hammer my body and merely prorect my head. ahh, the beauties of sit-ups.

the shorter person must remeber that he will probably be hit a few times on the way in especially if the taller person knows how to fight moving backwards. the shorter person just needs to say, "f&#k it," while marching in.
