how do you train such a combo against a fully resisting opponent without seriously injuring or killing your partner?
if you do not train against a fully resisting opponent then you are no better than a tkd one step sparring practitoner.

Obviously you would use helmets, simulate the ear rip, and utilize a submission technique for the neck snap.

Fully trainable in a fully alive environment.

I heard that combos are really a European/American concept and in Thailand they emphasize singular powerful attacks.

People do pull off combos in sparing. That's why they train their technique constantly. And that is why you spar, to get better for your ring/street fights where you can pull them off.

I wouldn't use such a combo in sparring, as sparring is completely different than scenario replication. In a scenario the person who is the assailant attacks you with whatever, punch, tackle, knife assault, and you just react.

If you want to see it performed alive with resisting opponents, check out the videos of Richard Dimitri of Senshido. http://www.senshido.com, he is one of the best realistic self-defense instructors in the world.
