you tried grabbing a guy in a fight or to escort him out of your house by his mid section or underhooks and he bit a part of your ear off and/or started going ape**** by headbutting you? Than he hit you straight in the nuts and started stomping you? Or if you tried clinching him muay thai style he pinched you real hard in the tittie?

The first thing IŽd do would be to grap my keyboard and start hitting him, aiming for his spine hoping for it to break, if I wouldnŽt have my keyboard IŽd grab the baseballbat which is laying on the ground on my right and start hitting his toes and braking them causing him to lose his balance and as soon as he falls to the ground IŽd run or crawl into the kitchen fetch some cinnamon and sprinkle over him.

Stupid questions from stupid people ask for stupid answers from somebody even more stupid.

wel if you do bouncing, security or work with mental patients you need to know how to push them out of the door forcefully without striking until they strike first. And it is totally different from ufc. Plus so are real fights. For example I trained boxing + thai boxing for 2 years and I tried pushing a guy opr restraining him by grabbing him around the waist like boxers do and he headbutted me and bit me in the ear. Another time I tried putting someone in a muay thai clinch to turn them and they pinched me in the tittie forcing me to let g. Another time an ex con suckerpunched me in the dark twice in the nose than socket kicked me before leaving and when i went after him bloodied he friend pulled a knife on me. Life is alot different from a ufc.

Yes, life is a lot different from the UFC... what is your point? Is there one? What are you trying to convey here? Is it "don't grab a guy around the mid section"? Is it "Don't fight retards*"? Is it an anti grappling thread? Anti sport? What are you trying to say here?

*Don't get all wounded knee* on me by my use of "Retard" - it was used for dramatic purposes, I had a mentally handicapped aunt so I'm not being insensitive here.

*Don't get all upset over the wounded knee comment, it was used for dramatic purposes, my wife has 1/10th indian in her somewhere, so I'm not being insensitive here. :D

And since I'm in "a mood":

"...push them out of the door forcefully without striking until they strike first. And it is totally different from ufc."

Pushing someone out a door is totally different from UFC?! Damn. I was hoping to see Ken Shamrock try to push Vitor Belfort out the door at the next UFC championships!

"For example I trained boxing + thai boxing for 2 years and I tried pushing a guy opr restraining him by grabbing him around the waist like boxers do"

They taught you to grab a potentially violent guy around the waist? Man, they suck.

"...and he headbutted me and bit me in the ear."

He headbutted you, then as your head came back, caught your ear in mid flight to chomp on it?

"Another time I tried putting someone in a muay thai clinch to turn them"

You clinched someone to "turn them"? ...

"and they pinched me in the tittie forcing me to let g."

You have super sensitive boobage there? Maybe you let go because it dawned on you clinching is not the best way to turn a guy around.

"Another time an ex con suckerpunched me in the dark twice in the nose than socket kicked me before leaving and when i went after him bloodied he friend pulled a knife on me. Life is alot different from a ufc."

Why were you hanging out in the dark with ex cons? Did he have night vision goggles on to hit you square in the nose twice in the dark, and land some sort of kick? What happened after the knife was pulled?

Yeah, too bad UFC isn't fights in the dark with knives, that would be worth watching! "Hey I can't see anything, it's a blank screen" "Yup, ohhhhh Randy just got knifed, I can tell!"

This is all meant tongue in cheek, I'm just picking on you for a bad post...cuz I'm grumpy today. Don't take too much offense :D

well I have nothing against mma or any sort of sport training, but I had too much confidence in the training which didnt pay off. FOr instance we are not taught to turn people in muay thai except in a clinch with your hands on their neck but most people don't really resist and sink their body low in the gym when you do it unlike an untrained person by instinct. And you never think of other considerations like guarding your body from their possible bite scrach or pinch. As for me getting attacked I was telling you a story that happened to me a year ago but it happened because the guy backhanded me lightly (jokingly) in the face so i did the same to him, and he wouldnt stopped so we kept doing it back and forth, And when I went outside he popped me.

With threads like these, why do I watch Bruce Lee movies?!?!

I havn't seen these guys post before....I was laughing so much at the 'sprinkling cinnamon' part, I think a little poo came out!

Seriously though, what is the actual point of the original post?

elitegaurd, have you never heard of chin na or any other restraining techniques. My friend used to bounce for a number of years, recently gave it up. He very rarely used his fists, instead he used wrists and armlocks. Its a much safer way to control someone.

I can not believe you held on to someones head to control them. It is the limbs that are really dangerous. The head has little flexible.

I would recomend for you to learn arm locks, I wish I could show you one which allows you to lock both of a guys arms and still have the other free in case anyone tries to jump you.

Question everything, Know nothing.

What if threads usually lead no where, because the only answer is "it depends".

A better question would have been...What restraint/control tactics do you guys train or use?
