I feel an important one for possibly aikido grips and something like a blast or quick strong punches would be your fore-arms all around. biceps for uppercuts. triceps for jabs. shoulders for un easy angles. and stomach for body reinforcement . i know it takes more than just one muscle group but for now im thinking to plan on working on one muscle group more than others to get a better solid hit . can any one give out some pointers on which it should be . i know abs are definatly good as well.

lately, i have been working the triceps extra hard, but then i thought that they only play a supplementary role in straight punches. they really are not used much in upper-cuts or hooks.
It is important not to focus on specific parts of the body and sacrifice working just as hard on others. Your forarms, main focus is hand/grip strength, but this also includes the wrists. If they are not strong enough to deliver the blows you throw, then you can greatly injure yourself.
The best thing for working on strike power is a heavy bag. Another thing to try if you have a partner is weighted punching. Using either dumbells or wrist weights shadow box hard for one minute while your partner is ensuring your maintaining proper technique, then swap. This is not a workout to do yourself because as you get tired you may start cutting corners and not even realize it. After a while a notice not only in strike power, but strike speed should be noticed.
i also skectched out a human body in a fighting stance on my heavy bag so i know what im hitting . its kinda hard because keeps spinning around. now all i need is something to helpme work on my trapping skills
