Hello everyone.

Me and my friends have been interested in Jeet June Do for quite some time now, but have never actually gotten into it, and are considering starting soon. I've got some questions to ask, but first, some history real quick, which will actually have to do with my question =P

About 6-7 months ago, I was 6'0 235 pounds, all fat. I decided I needed a change, and lost alot of that fat, and am now weighing about 170. I still wasn't satisfied, and decided to take up bodybuilding. I've been doing that for about 2 months, doing the whole "eat 1.5 grams of protein per pound you weigh" thing. After lots of JKD research, i've found that can make you pretty slow and clumsy, with all that mass. So, I'm here to ask how you weight train (not talking about actually doing JKD, just the weight training)Right now, I have a split going on where I do:

Triceps and Chest Mondays,
Back and Biceps on tuesdays,
Rest Wednesday
Shoulders and Abs Thursdays
Legs Friday
Weekend off

Do you guys do things like that, as in a split? And do you still do cardio, despite the fact that you weightlift? Becuase through all the bodybuilding research i've done, it's been said that cardio intereferes with any muscle gain. Also, do you guys tend to eat alot of protein for muscle growth?

Well, thats about all I have to say. Any advice concerning this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I ussually do something like that but i dont lift alot of weight. I use a light or medium weight setting but do my repitions faster than normal. If you want alot of info about lifting and workout go pick up the book " The Art of Expressing the Human Body" by Bruce Lee. I found that very useful.
